So, in general, when you purchase something from an individual that has been used there is no warranty. Whether that be eBay, Craigslist or your local paper's ads. Right? Who in their right mind doesn't know that when you purchase something used, from an individual, that it's "as is"?
Apparently, if you're a far west county bitch who thinks that something should be sold with a warranty. Well, it needed to be sold, so we allowed her the possibility of returning the item (yes, it was a $550 purchase for her - new it'd been close to $1000) and not only did she return it, she broke part of it and left a piece of the necessary equipment to run it AT HOME when she returned it to us. AND even tho she remembered that in the car on the way here - she did not tell us. We found out about it when we were getting it set up again to show the next person.
So here's what I don't get - why was she upset at US for telling her that she needed to return home and get the remaining piece of equipment? Oh, she said, it's Easter and I have plans with family - maybe I can get it to you tonight or tomorrow. NO - we've been able to sell it (most likely) to someone and they want to see it today. Oh, I just don't know. Listen here stoopid bitch - go back home and get it.
Of course, we didn't (and didn't feel that we could) say that last line, but amazingly she called just a short time later and said she'd be by in about an hour with the remaining piece. Luckily, it's all back together now and should be leaving our place once again . . . this time, no possibility of return.
